Catholic University St. Vincent's Hospital Successfully Hosts Forum for a “Barrier-Free Hospital” [Vital Tracker]

On the 6th, Catholic University St. Vincent's Hospital held a forum titled “For a Barrier-Free Hospital” at the St. Paul Hall on the 10th floor of the Cancer Center.

The forum was organized to explore ways to improve medical accessibility and promote the health of visually impaired individuals. Held under the theme “Creating Change Together,” the event was attended by over 100 participants, including Hospital Director Sister Jung-Soo Lim (Kolbe), hospital staff, and members of the Catholic Central Medical Center Smart Healthcare Center.

The main presentations included:

  • “The Current Status of Visually Impaired Patients in Korea and National Policy Support” by Professor Dong-Hyun Ji (Department of Ophthalmology, St. Vincent’s Hospital)
  • “Physical Health Conditions and Health Promotion Strategies for the Visually Impaired” by Jae-Young Lim (Director, Southern Gyeonggi Regional Center for Health Care of Persons with Disabilities)
  • “Challenges Faced by the Visually Impaired in Accessing Medical Care and What Is Needed to Improve Their Quality of Life” by Yeon-Joo Seo (Internal Medicine Specialist, St. Vincent’s Hospital)
